Status Update

Hi guys!!

The site is coming on REALLY well. Here's whats been done so far:

• Domain - Its done and ready. We've registered a .org and its up and running with DNS
• Hosting - We've moved hosting and managed to retain ALL our content. Which is quite a feat considering how hard it is to get content off my old hoster
• Analytics - Its been implemented successfully
• Theme - I've found a really nice theme which allows loads of advanced functions + a nice look
• Plugins - I've put in loads of plugins. Some include search engine rankers and others are things like WPTouch which allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to easily view the site on a custom iphone friendly version of the site.
• Reviews - I've implemented a form so that people can easily submit app reviews.
• Email address's - Ive been registering loads of email addresses for authors and for other things. Authors can expect to receive emails or PMs on their email accounts registered

I'll expect to be able to release the site on Saturday or Sunday depending on whether I run into any bugs.

Closed But Opening Again Soon!!!

As many of you have seen, Everything Apple is closed and not working.

So here's a little update on whats happenning!!

• Domain and Hosting Change: I'll be moving the site over the next few days to a new domain (most likely a .org) and I'll also be getting some premium dedicated hosting!
• Theme Change: Our current theme is great but it stops a lot of things from working as it is encrypted and so changes like adding Analytics, custom sidebar widgets etc. do not work
• Google Analytics Implementation: I'll be implementing some special analytics software so I can see EXACTLY how well we are doing
• Donate Button: Because I'll be moving to paid hosting I'll need a little donations to keep us running speedily. If nobody donates maybe we might look into ads at a later date
• WordPress Plugin Installs: I'll be looking at all the best enhancing plugins and implementing them into the blog

I hope that everything should be ready by 7th-9th March 09. I'll post updates here most days on how its going on. Also Apple News will be posted here while the other site is closed.

We've Moved!!

Hi guys,

Today i've completed something I've been doing for the past few days and that is setting up a WordPress version of this blog. WordPress is a great service and miles ahead of anything else. also since it allows for static pages, I will be putting up tutorials and other stuff on Apple too. Because of this I'e decided for a re-name aswell. We are now going to be called "Everything Apple".

ZiPhone Turned Into A News Site

Hi guys,

As many of you may know Zibri has given his site http://ziphone.org away. It is now a completely different layout and is going to be a news blog.

iPhone / iPod touch Firmware 2.2.1 and 2.3 Updates Info

Hi guys

I've got some info on the new firmware versions coming soon for iPod touchs and iPhones.

Version 2.2.1

- Release Date: 1-2 weeks
- Update Content:
- Bug Fixes
- Fixes slow syncing with certain versions of Windows
- Jailbreak Available: Within 1 Week After Release

Version 2.3

- Release Date: Currently Unknown
- Update Content:
- Bluetooth Syncing
- MMS functionality is rumoured
- Copy & Paste functionality is rumoured
- Jailbreak Available: Because a BETA has not been released yet the Dev Team are un-sure how long the jailbreak should take.

Macbook Clickwheel

iPhone / iPod Touch Related - Jailbird

Hi guys,

Many of you may have heard of WinPwn which was the Windows equivalent to Pwnage Tool. Unfortunately, WinPwn is no longer being developed but a new Windows application called 'Jailbird' plans to take its place.

Q: Will I be able to jailbreak my iPod Touch 2G with Jailbird?
A: If the ability is there to do it at the time of release, it will be built into Jailbird, but as of right now…this second…it is not being built in as there is currently no discovered way

Q: Where can I download Jailbird?
A: You cant yet, It hasn’t been released.

Q: Can I beta test super amazing spectacular (did I mention super cool) program?
A: A form will be created for you to sign up to be a beta tester, beta testers will then be narrowed down programatically, then hand selected by difrnt, the developer

Q: When will Jailbird be released?
A: They are hoping to have the beta ready for beta testers by the end of the month (January 31), and release a stable version to the public sometime in February, however no promises are being made at this time and NO dates are set in stone.
